Salem
Cemetery has been a popular ghost hunting spot in Ajax, Ontario for
years. We have visited this location many times.
OUR EXPERIENCES
-
Several times while visiting the cemetery we experienced the street
lights going off one by one as we passed underneath them, with them
turning back as soon as we reached the next street light.

Amanda has seen a spirit of a man in the church who paces back and forth.
He came to the window and waved with a smile. In later pictures we did
capture something. She also picked up on the spirit of a woman named
Laura. She told Amanda that her husband was buried with her in the cemetery.
She came to Amanda as a woman in her early 30's, with blonde hair, approximately
from the late 1800's, wearing a white blouse, with long sleeves, button
up, with a long skirt that flared at the ground. She could not find
the grave at the time. At a later time Rachel found information on the
people buried there. We did find out that a Laura Rogers was buried
in the cemetery with her husband Thomas.

One of the nights while in Salem we felt we were watched, when Brenda
saw a dark silhouette of a man standing at the Opposite end of the cemetery,
as she approached him, he slowly faded out. Brenda said she felt as
if he was some kind of a watcher, to warn of us.
In
that same night we all had the impressions that we were being watched,
at one point Brenda commented on a dog running along the outside of
the fence that is in the newer section. It wasn't till much later that
we discovered that we were being surround by a pack of wolves. Needless
to say we jumped in our cars and decided to return on another night.
Who really was the man that was trying to warn Brenda earlier, do you
think he was looking out for our safety? or Do you suppose he sent the
wolves to chase us out?

We
made another visit, this time with our friend Shelley who is also a
psychic. As we parked our cars Amanda and Rachel got a bad feeling.
We all got out of the car and realized things had changed. All of us
got a feeling of a hostile presence. As we walked along we noticed some
of the gravestones were missing and there were impressions in the snow.
Then Brenda heard the voice of a spirit say "Run, just run!"
At this point we got really nervous and then Shelley's legs gave out
and she almost dropped in the snow. A powerful spirit was putting a
psychic attack on her because she was the most vulnerable to this. Luckily
Brenda could help her out and we ran to the car! Someone did not want
us there and was definatly angry. Our photography revealed a couple
orange/red coloured mists forming in the air from this night.
Rachel was there at a later time and the stones were replaced. We have
not been back yet for more investigation.

For
the first time our new group members Amanda and Donny came with us!
It was a great time for us being Halloween and all. We enjoyed dinner
at the Jester's Court with some of the Rogers Television crew. We were
in talks with them for a TV show. Anyways, we had a great dinner in
the haunted restaurant. You could feel the energy as soon as you stepped
in the place! The lights flickered while we ate and the little boy was
out and about. We then proceeded to Salem Cemetery.
While
taking pictures we caught many entities following our crew. Amanda spotted
the shadow of a man running across the cemetery. We also spotted a figure
behind one of the gravestones. Later in the night Brenda saw the ghostly
figure of a man in the street. We followed her down the road to where
this spirit was leading us and then heard the cries of animals near
by! Frightened by what seemed to be wolves howling and getting closer,
we got in our cars quickly. The man in the street was leading us away
from the wolves to safety. We aren't sure who he is but we believe he
is the watcher of the cemetery.
