Our Experience
We have been here
on a previous occasion in 2005 but have yet to write a story. Oshawa’s
Marshland Trails has a section called Ghost Road Bush. It is located
down by the Oshawa lake front near the Minacs building. At a previous
attempt to investigate Brenda refused to enter the woods. Rachel,
Amanda, Jay and Donny decided to make a last minute attempt to
investigate after discussing the location earlier that day. Amanda and
Donny had never been to this site.
It was a beautiful
fall afternoon when we made it to the trails. Even though it is named
Ghost Road Bush, it is actually a dirt trail with various wooden bridges
along the way. As we started on our investigation we were very surprised
to see a beaver scurry and make its way into the creek as we walked
through. As we passed a large tree Amanda immediately started picking
up on a young woman who was murdered. Jay also sensed the same event
occurring. The woman had a very natural beauty to her, with long dark
hair, a thin nose and dressed very preppy. We think she was wearing a
tight, V-neck t-shirt, it was not very clear. Amanda felt that the man
who had killed her had brown hair, aged in his forties with a stalky
figure. She felt that this wasn’t his first time and that it was
premeditated. This man would also stalk her, and knew her daily
activities.
As we walked
further into the woods, the daylight dwindled and the night got colder.
Everyone felt that someone was following us and as we looked behind we
could catch a glimpse of mist. Amanda could hear the screams of a
ghostly woman coming from the darkness. Both Jay and Amanda started to
pick up on the woman again. They felt that she was killed almost by
accident. The man was trying to keep her quiet and caused asphyxiation,
something to do with her neck.
Rachel informed us at a later time that there were reports of a sexual
predator near those parts.
Previous Trips
On the previous
visits to Oshawa Ghost Road in 2005, Brenda, Rachel and Jay have seen a
mysterious man who fits Amanda’s description. He has come from the
woods on two separate occasions. The first time he walked out from the
woods and was smoking, but the cigarette had no scent. Brenda put the
flashlight on him and he looked to the ground. When he decided to walk
away they looked back and he was not anywhere to be seen. The second time they
were walking up the trail when they spotted him on a bike staring at the
big tree Amanda spoke of. When he saw us coming he stood up
straight, looked at us with wide eyes and rode off down the
path. The whole front of his shirt was covered with blood.
That day the ground was damp and soft from previous rain. The weird thing is that there were no bike tracks anywhere to be
seen along the pathway. He also disappeared once more.
On one visit Brenda
picked up on native spirits throughout the woods. We have heard that
this was a Native burial site and that the remains were removed at some
point.
On two separate
trips Brenda and Amanda both picked up on a house fire that had happened
in the past. The only thing we have heard is that there was a farmhouse
that was previously in the area, which did burn down. They also picked
up on a suicide near the bridge across the road from the trails.
So if your willing
to take a walk with the dead, go down to Ghost Road Bush!
