The
Phantom Jogger
Location:
Ajax-Pickering, Ontario
Past Activity
We
have heard about the 'Phantom Jogger' from stories and viewers online in
the past. Right on the border of Ajax and Pickering in the Durham Region
or what we call 'Pickering Village' there have been sightings of
paranormal activity.
Along Church
Street near a bridge there have been sightings of a man who appears and
disappears as he crosses the path of unsuspecting pedestrians. We have
been planning on investigating this area but have yet to do a formal
investigation.
Who is the Jogger?
We
have found some interesting knowledge about a jogger from two sources
who were acquaintances. There are too many coincidences for this not to
be the 'Phantom Jogger' himself. What we have found is that there was a
man named Dennis who lived in a sub-division near Church Street just
over 10 years ago. He was a avid jogger and health enthusiast who always
wore his heart monitor.
It
was around the time period between Christmas and New Years that he went
for a jog one day. He had complained recently that his heart monitor was
malfunctioning but ignored it. Little did he know that he was indeed
having heart problems. Dennis had a heart attack along Church Street at
the bridge. He was dead on arrival and was approximately 50 years old.
We would like
to find out further information regarding the jogger to see if this is a
residual haunting or if he just likes to visit the places he loved in
life.
So when your
walking in the area and spot a friendly jogger passing by, take a second
look, it might just be him!
